Owner Choni Teitelbaum decided there was "no other way" than Cash Register Express when deciding on a point of sale system. CRE's easy user interface made training employees a cinch. Most employees can be trained in under one minute, even those with little to no computer experience.

The flat panel monitor and quiet receipt printer and elegant POS design adds to the pleasant shopping experience at Tradition. Choni's employees make good use of CRE's many shortcuts, including "hot keys" which make the transaction fly by even without use of a touchscreen. For example, one need only press F6 to end a cash sale.

For Tradition's barcoded merchandise, CRE makes use of the existing barcodes when adding to inventory. But much of the Judaica and jewelry there are no barcodes, so Choni decided to change that. With Barcode Express, you can create attractive looking labels which display the barcode, price, description and store name. For fancier items, Choni uses removable adhesive so not to leave a mark.

Tradition also processes credit cards through CRE for quick approval. There's no need for a bulky terminal, just a 3" card swiper does the trick and no buttons to press.
